What you will do

• Shape and deliver the P&C insurance economics research agenda for the Americas in line with business priorities and market relevance.
• Develop perspectives on P&C market trends, exposure, claims inflation, loss costs, underwriting cycles, pricing, protection gaps, catastrophe and climate risk, and reinsurance developments.
• Apply statistical and econometric analysis, forecasting, scenario analysis, and data visualization to produce evidence-based insights.
• Lead research projects from question formulation and data gathering through analysis, publication, and presentation.
• Translate research findings into practical recommendations for client discussions, underwriting, business strategy, and market positioning.
• Collaborate with underwriting, client markets, communications, and global research teams, and represent hirify.global at selected industry, regulatory, and conference forums.

Requirements

• Significant experience in economics, insurance market analysis, reinsurance research, applied economic research, data science, or a related quantitative field; P&C insurance or reinsurance experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline; a PhD is advantageous.
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis, econometric modeling, forecasting, and data visualization; Python, R, SQL, or comparable tools are helpful.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance economics, reinsurance market dynamics, risk, pricing, profitability, and demand.
• Ability to lead research through publication or presentation and communicate technical analysis clearly to senior and non-specialist audiences.
• Fluent English required. Strong collaboration, influencing, commercial judgment, and project-management skills are also required.
