Energy Research Analyst (AI)

Location: Full-time, in-person in New York City

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 base salary per year, plus variable bonus and equity.

hirify.global is building an AI-native primary intelligence platform that automates expert research workflows for enterprises, investment firms, and asset managers.

What you will do

• Build hirify.global’s Energy coverage across energy, utilities, clean energy, and oil & gas using proprietary datasets.
• Create company and market analyses, quantified findings, charts, scorecards, and written takeaways for investors and corporate clients.
• Develop forward-looking research on electrification, grid buildout, generation mix, data-center and industrial load growth, and the economics of the energy transition.
• Create thought leadership content for newsletters and client communications, and support client and prospect conversations through calls, webinars, and events.
• Help refine hirify.global’s AI-native research methodology and collaborate with product and engineering teams on platform design.
• Track emerging energy technologies and innovators, including SMRs, clean generation, grid modernization, and storage.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional experience in data-driven research creation, such as equity research, financial analysis, market research, or consulting.
• Professional exposure to energy, utilities, or industrials.
• Understanding of fundamental research workflows, including idea sourcing, data analysis, and primary research, or the ability to learn them quickly.
• Strong analytical skills and experience managing and analyzing large datasets; SQL experience is strongly preferred.
• Clear long-form and short-form writing skills, with the ability to synthesize data into forward-looking insights and present findings to investors and corporate clients.
• Curiosity about the physical energy value chain and willingness to experiment with AI tools and agents in daily workflows.
