Cloud Engineer (TS/SCI CI Poly)

Location: On-site Monday–Friday in Chantilly, VA; Herndon, VA; or Aurora, CO, United States

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and integration of cloud-agnostic network and system architectures.
• Design architectures for Windows Server-based enterprise IT systems and management tools.
• Assess current-state environments, identify migration dependencies, and develop workload migration plans with timelines, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with systems, network, software engineering, program management, and stakeholder teams.
• Assess system performance, troubleshoot issues, prepare technical documentation, and recommend enhancements.
• Apply digital engineering, automation, orchestration, and systems engineering best practices during implementation.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required.
• Security+ certification or an accepted equivalent, such as SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC, required.
• On-site support Monday–Friday in Chantilly, VA, Herndon, VA, or Aurora, CO required.
• At least 4 years of experience in building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration.
• Experience supporting cloud applications and infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure as code, automated configuration, large-scale deployments, and CI/CD.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, OWASP, or DevSecOps.
• Cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Google Cloud Architect, or MCSE – Cloud Platform.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience improving automation processes.
