Continuous Improvement Intern (Engineering)

Location: Columbus, OH — Arena District; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the reporting location.

Salary: $18.80–$31.70 per hour.

What you will do

• Support Continuous Improvement staff on projects for the Operational Excellence Department.
• Evaluate and analyze continuous improvement opportunities.
• Collect and analyze operational data to identify process challenges.
• Create and standardize process documentation using Visio.
• Provide project management support at different levels of complexity.
• Support emergency response efforts when required, including work outside normal hours or outside typical responsibilities.

Requirements

• Be a current student in an ABET-accredited, four-year engineering program with at least one year of undergraduate study completed.
• Be available to work 40 hours per week during the 12-week summer internship starting in May 2027.
• Have familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement principles.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
