Field Survey Data Processing Analyst (LiDAR/GIS)

What you will do

• Process LiDAR data into LAS files and optimize data-processing workflows for accuracy and turnaround time.
• Support the training, refinement, evaluation, and implementation of AI and machine-learning solutions for defect detection, data classification, predictive analytics, and automation.
• Sort and quality-control field imagery, thermal imagery, GIS datasets, and other survey data.
• Prepare condition assessment reports and compile GPR reports based on subsurface findings.
• Coordinate survey scheduling with field service managers and assist with fleet logistics and survey equipment inventory.
• Support data integration initiatives, administrative coordination, and innovation across field and office systems.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise in LiDAR data processing and familiarity with LAS file formats.
• Proficiency in field imagery quality assessment, GIS applications, data integration, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Pro.
• Understanding of AI concepts, machine-learning applications, data-processing automation, and API-based system integration.
• Experience with operational scheduling, fleet management, and survey equipment inventory control.
• Strong communication, organization, training, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-based image classification, predictive analytics, automation tools, cloud-based AI platforms, or data integration platforms.
