Sr New Product Introduction Buyer (Automotive)

Location: Scotts Valley, California, United States; office environment with up to 40% domestic travel to manufacturing locations in Georgia and California.

Salary: $92,324.28–$126,945.32 per year.

What you will do

• Establish supply chains for new products within the Powered Vehicle Group sourcing team.
• Manage project material costs, supplier quotes, supplier selection, special-build purchase orders, budgets, and margin targets.
• Lead cross-functional project reviews and coordinate engineering prototype and development requirements.
• Track supplier communication, costs, schedules, product BOM reviews, and cost-reduction activities.
• Facilitate Design for Manufacturing reviews between project teams and suppliers.
• Manage supplier onboarding and the transition of parts from development to production procurement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible Tier 1 automotive or similar purchasing and material-control experience, including program buying.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, organization, prioritization, and judgment.
• Experience operating as a project lead across multiple projects and disciplines.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, build consensus, and drive decisions.
• Familiarity with ERP and BOM systems.
