Clinical Research Coordinator/RN (Oncology)

Location: Longmont, Colorado, United States; onsite work in an oncology clinic environment

Salary: $60,000–$75,000 for non-nurses or $80,000–$97,000 for nurses annually, depending on education, experience, certifications, and other factors.

What you will do

• Screen potential patients for clinical trial eligibility, present study concepts, support informed consent, and enroll patients on protocols.
• Coordinate patient care according to protocol requirements, including patient education, investigational drug accountability, and communication about dose modifications and adverse events.
• Collect, document, enter, and report clinical research data accurately and on time; participate in monitoring and auditing activities.
• Maintain regulatory documents in accordance with applicable regulations and USOR standard operating procedures.
• Educate clinic staff on clinical research requirements and collaborate on study selection, protocol reporting, and research financial information.
• Identify quality and performance improvement opportunities and help implement action plans.

Requirements

• For the coordinator track: an associate's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and at least five years of experience, preferably in oncology.
• For the nursing track: graduation from an accredited nursing program, at least seven years of nursing experience, current registered nurse licensure in the state of practice, and current BLS or ACLS certification.
• Clinical research and oncology experience, knowledge of clinical trials, GCP concepts, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic testing, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and hematology.
• Ability to interpret protocols and regulatory documents, organize and prioritize independently, solve practical problems, multitask, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to use computer data-entry systems and manage research databases; successful completion of a post-offer background check and non-federal drug test is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or BSN.
• SoCRA, ACRP, or OCN certification.
• Prior clinical research experience for the nursing track.
