Senior Engineering Lead, Broadcast Platform Services & Support (Broadcast Engineering)

Location: Secaucus, USA; onsite work with the option to work remotely one day per week

Salary: $180,000–$215,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the Broadcast Platform & Systems Support Engineering team and manage advanced technical escalations across broadcast systems.
• Provide technical leadership during critical incidents, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain master control and signal distribution services.
• Evaluate and implement cloud-based and remote production workflows with Production and Broadcast Operations teams.
• Guide system buildouts, infrastructure upgrades, platform lifecycle planning, and the roadmap for broadcast infrastructure.
• Maintain the High-Speed Arena Network and other critical transmission infrastructure while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in broadcast engineering or media technology, including technical team leadership.
• College degree in Communications, Engineering, or a related field; significant relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience leading Tier 2 or senior-level technical support teams.
• Strong knowledge of broadcast engineering, video routing, signal transport, delivery infrastructure, video compression, IP video transport, and Software Defined Video Networks.
• Familiarity with SMPTE ST 2110, related protocols, and non-linear production systems such as EVS.
• Strong vendor management, communication, independent decision-making, and collaboration skills; willingness to travel and work nights, weekends, and flexible hours.
