Vice President, Content Delivery Networks (CDN)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid schedule requiring office attendance a minimum of four days per week

Salary: $245,000–$340,000 yearly, plus bonus and long-term incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Set and execute the content delivery strategy for current and planned OTT products and events.
• Own the global CDN roadmap, including capacity planning, performance optimization, resiliency, cost efficiency, and future-state architecture.
• Establish reliability, quality, performance, KPI, and SLA standards for availability, latency, startup time, rebuffering, and viewer experience.
• Lead incident readiness and operational excellence for live events and peak traffic periods.
• Manage vendor strategy, multi-CDN optimization, ISP and telco partnerships, contracts, scorecards, and cost models.
• Lead and develop a multinational organization of CDN, data, and software engineers while advising senior executives on technology, risk, and investment decisions.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale digital software systems, preferably in content delivery networks.
• At least 5 years of experience leading a CDN function.
• Expertise in software security best practices and tooling, cloud and container security, and high-availability software patterns.
• Expertise in digital video codecs and encoding profiles, with knowledge of OTT platforms and digital video delivery.
• Strong executive communication, strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and technical talent development skills.
• Ability to work from the New York office at least four days per week under the current hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience in digital media or direct-to-consumer video businesses.
• Experience deploying web application firewalls, container security, and static and dynamic code analysis tools.
• Deep knowledge of OTT delivery optimization and complex software system interdependencies.
