What you will do

• Design, implement, and direct health, safety, and environmental programs, guidelines, and procedures.
• Oversee project-site HSE plans and align them with corporate strategies, policies, requirements, and initiatives.
• Provide leadership and set an example for environmental, health, and safety practices.
• Collaborate with senior management, peers, subordinates, clients, contractors, and project personnel.
• Strengthen customer service, organizational structure, safety culture, and process innovation.
• Travel with minimal lead time to respond to HSE needs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of HSE experience in utility construction, compliance and regulations, or an equivalent combination of safety and construction experience.
• Safety credentials such as CHST, CUSP, CSP, COSS, or OSHA 500.
• Ability to attract, develop, manage, and retain talent.
• Excellent organizational, written, verbal communication, and public-speaking skills.
• Valid driver's license for the vehicles that may be driven and an acceptable driving record.
• Comfort with travel and technology used to perform HSE responsibilities, including work in a union environment.
