What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data management systems and ELT/ETL pipelines across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Build data infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading information from diverse sources using cloud technologies.
• Support API strategy, data modeling, domain-driven data structures, and cloud-based storage patterns.
• Implement data quality, validation, lineage, metadata, monitoring, integrity, and security controls.
• Prepare and optimize datasets for AI/ML models, semantic search, analytics, and mission applications.
• Collaborate with analysts, AI engineers, software engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready datasets and improve pipeline performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in data engineering or backend software engineering.
• Secret or higher security clearance is required.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, and at least one major cloud environment.
• Experience integrating structured and unstructured data, including schema design, data modeling, and multi-cloud data ecosystems.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting AI/ML pipelines, vectorization, or embedding generation.
• Experience with data governance, access controls, and sensitive data protection.
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD patterns for data workflows.
• MuleSoft implementation experience.
• Experience with real-time streaming and event-driven architectures.
