SQL Database Administrator – Senior (Top Secret with agreement to obtain CI Poly)

Location: Fort Belvoir, Virginia, United States; on-site after-hours support with a 2-hour response time is required.

What you will do

• Administer and manage relational databases in a Microsoft SQL Server environment supporting .NET applications across multiple networks.
• Maintain database availability, quality of service, and performance through daily checks, capacity planning, query optimization, and ticket ownership.
• Apply DISA STIGs, implement least-privilege security controls, and monitor database access.
• Develop database objects, T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views based on customer requirements.
• Maintain availability groups and data replication, and develop and test backup and recovery plans.
• Create database documentation and provide support to application developers, end users, and government stakeholders.

Requirements

• Eight years of experience administering and managing production SQL databases.
• Five years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft SQL Server in high-availability group configurations.
• Five years of experience with T-SQL and automated maintenance scripting.
• Three years of experience leading teams and mentoring junior personnel.
• Three years of experience implementing database security measures in accordance with industry practices and DISA STIGs.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph is required; the role also requires the ability to attain SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret clearances.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, SQL Server 2016, or SQL Database Administration certification.
• DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II / Intermediate certification.
• Experience with the DCD IT Portal and government-managed STIG management portals.
• Experience supporting .NET applications in production.
