EHS Specialist

Location: Cottage Grove, Minnesota, United States; Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Compensation: $22.00–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Evaluate environmental, health, and safety facilities and processes for potential hazards.
• Support client compliance with facility EHS policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Conduct industrial hygiene sampling, including noise dosimetry and air monitoring, and complete ergonomic assessments.
• Schedule and conduct respirator fit testing, deliver EHS training, and coordinate sitewide safety initiatives.
• Assist with process hazard analysis, risk assessments, work-permit audits, and reporting to supervisors.
• Support environmental sampling, wastewater reporting, air-emission modeling, permitting, and hazardous-waste stream management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of professional Environmental Health and Safety experience preferred.
• Safety experience in a manufacturing or pilot plant setting preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate effectively, work independently, and remain results-oriented.
• Some responsibilities may involve information and technology subject to U.S. Export Control Laws and restrictions concerning non-U.S. persons.
