Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications (Biotech)

Location: South San Francisco, California, United States; onsite four days per week at IDEAYA's headquarters

What you will do

• Develop and execute investor relations and corporate communications strategies aligned with corporate objectives and long-term value creation.
• Lead investor engagement with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, prospective shareholders, and the broader investment community.
• Prepare earnings materials, investor presentations, press releases, executive talking points, Q&A documents, and communications for clinical, regulatory, financing, and strategic milestones.
• Build IDEAYA's enterprise narrative, reputation strategy, internal communications, executive thought leadership, and crisis communications capabilities.
• Establish the Investor Relations and Corporate Communications function, including organizational design, governance, processes, systems, and infrastructure.
• Recruit and develop the future team while advising the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field; an MBA or advanced scientific degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in investor relations, corporate communications, equity research, media, or related roles in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
• Significant experience supporting publicly traded biotechnology companies and understanding biotechnology drug development, clinical development, regulatory pathways, and capital markets.
• Demonstrated success building relationships with investors, analysts, media, patient advocacy groups, executive leadership teams, and Boards of Directors.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex scientific and financial information clearly.
• Experience building or expanding communications organizations, supporting commercial-stage transitions, capital markets transactions, and commercial product launches.
