Associate Principal, Software Engineering: DevOps

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; hybrid work with up to 40% telecommuting and up to 2 remote days per week

Salary: $122,100–$160,200 per year, excluding benefits and potential discretionary bonuses

What you will do

• Manage and support AWS infrastructure across EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, AMI, security groups, and ELB.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Ansible and Terraform, including AWS networking, access controls, storage, and scalable environments.
• Provision and operate Kubernetes clusters on AWS using Rancher, Helm, Harness, Docker, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Build Terraform automation for Apache Kafka and IBM MQ messaging configurations, including topic, queue, routing, and consumer validation.
• Design CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins Groovy, GitHub, SonarQube, Veracode, Sysdig, JFrog, and Docker across development, staging, and production.
• Plan deployments, monitor and tune application performance, implement failover scenarios, coordinate connectivity and security work, and document SDLC pipeline operations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least two years of experience as a DevOps engineer, software developer, cloud engineer, or in a related role.
• Experience automating AWS infrastructure with Ansible and Terraform, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and ELB.
• Experience operating AWS-based Kubernetes clusters with Rancher, Helm, Harness, persistent storage, network policies, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Experience automating Apache Kafka and IBM MQ configuration with Terraform and validating messaging workflows.
• Experience designing CI/CD automation with Jenkins Groovy, GitHub, SonarQube, Veracode, Sysdig, JFrog, and Docker.
