Claim Intake Department Segmentation Technician (Casualty Claims)

What you will do

• Handle first notices of loss for excess and specialty lines, identifying policy information such as attachment points, divisions, and excess limits.
• Document policy and claim information and ensure excess policies are available in OneView.
• Initiate telephonic investigations and contact brokers, insureds, primary carriers, defense attorneys, and third-party administrators.
• Maintain clear claim-file documentation and diary systems to support timely segmentation, referrals, and future handling decisions.
• Evaluate financial impact, monitor trials, report daily developments, and advise management on high-profile claims and emerging risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, equivalent work experience, or experience as a CID Claim Intake Analyst.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a flexible work environment.
• Effective decision-making skills, including recognizing, analyzing, and improving claims performance against standards and goals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
