TL;DR
CW-Manufacturing Technician II - (T2) 2nd Shift (Semiconductor Manufacturing) (electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic equipment): Building, repairing, and testing semiconductor and display fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment with an accent on assembly, troubleshooting, and inspection. Focus on diagnosing equipment issues, using electronic measurement and leak-detection tools, completing technical documentation, and improving operational processes.

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $20.00–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

  • Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists.
  • Receive and audit parts, inspect them for defects, and troubleshoot opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies and components.
  • Complete job documentation and data entry, and perform programming, repairs, or software installations when needed.
  • Work hands-on in a cleanroom while using required personal protective equipment and hand or power tools.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, lift, work in tight spaces, distinguish colors, and operate or drive heavy machinery including forklifts.

Nice to have

  • Associate’s degree, technical education, certification, or relevant training.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills using established operating procedures or scientific methods.
  • ASSEET or BSEET qualification, including DeVry or TSTC training.
