Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO)

Location: Remote within the United States, supporting a team based in Hollywood, Maryland, with occasional travel.

Salary: $66,100–$110,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Support industrial security programs and multiple Facility Clearances in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with DCSA and client security teams while maintaining security policies, procedures, and program records.
• Process personnel security clearances, SCI requests, visit authorizations, CAC applications, access forms, and facility access profiles.
• Develop and track security training, briefings, self-inspections, assessments, and follow-up actions.
• Support insider threat activities, incident investigations, government reporting, FCL records, and contract compliance reports.
• Respond to employee security needs through ServiceNow and provide clearance verifications for recruiting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience as an AFSO or in a similar role.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
• Completed CDSE Possessing Curriculum, or the ability to complete it within the first six months.
• Proficiency with DISS, NISS, NBIS, SWFT, SIMS, c-CURE, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, judgment, and confidentiality skills.
• Employment authorization or immigration support is not provided.

• Experience with ACCS and c-CURE systems.
