Cyber Security Identity Staff Engineer (IAM)

Annual salary: $110,000–$230,000

What you will do

• Develop and execute technical IAM strategies across identity-related security services and systems.
• Design, build, improve, and scale secure authentication and communication systems.
• Lead execution of a technical roadmap that improves product delivery speed and engineering capabilities.
• Own the quality, usability, performance, and efficiency of identity security solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, customers, and engineering teams to solve complex technical problems.
• Provide on-call and operational support while sharing engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in technology or identity engineering, including 3+ years in security, identity, architecture, and design.
• Extensive experience with identity products and protocols including Active Directory, Kerberos, LDAP, SAML, SCIM, OAuth, and OIDC.
• Deep knowledge of privileged access management and IAM security practices including IGA, PAM, JIT access, ITDR, NHI, and EPM.
• Experience designing reliable, scalable security systems using microservices and extensible REST APIs.
• Experience with Linux, macOS, Windows, multiple IaaS platforms, and at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Fluency in at least one modern programming language such as Python or Go, plus knowledge of MITRE, CIS, and NIST frameworks.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent education or experience.
