BI Visualization Engineer (Tableau)

Location: US - Oregon; remote or hybrid

Salary: $118,329–$139,210 annually. Full salary range: $104,410–$174,015.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards using visualization, UX/UI, accessibility, and data storytelling best practices.
• Create reusable dashboard templates, standardized design components, and governed visualization standards.
• Optimize Tableau performance, SQL queries, data sources, and reporting workflows.
• Partner with data and analytics engineers, data modelers, solution engineers, and business stakeholders on certified semantic models and analytics solutions.
• Manage Tableau content, publication, organization, maintenance, access controls, and row-level security.
• Gather user feedback, provide dashboard training, and support urgent IT issues through occasional on-call or rotating coverage.

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience in UX/UI design, business intelligence development, data visualization, and analytics solution delivery.
• Experience designing intuitive dashboards, applying data storytelling and UX/UI principles, influencing business decisions with data insights, and optimizing Tableau performance.
• Experience with SQL, data source integration, certified data sources, business metrics, and governed semantic definitions.
• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and work effectively across different perspectives, backgrounds, and work styles.

• Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to analysts, developers, or project teams.
