Senior Business Intelligence Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, administer, and deliver advanced analytics dashboards, reports, and business intelligence tools.
• Gather requirements across cross-functional teams and deliver analytic solutions into production.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop datasets, analyses, and tools for strategic initiatives.
• Perform root-cause and problem-solving analyses with laboratory, business operations, and engineering teams.
• Build data views for advanced reporting, self-service analysis, and data exploration using multiple data and visualization technologies.
• Support data governance initiatives and align internal system changes with future analytical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business administration, finance, economics, mathematics, operations research, marketing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing datasets for analytical use cases.
• 5+ years of experience managing stakeholders, owning the full lifecycle of analytics and data projects, and presenting analysis results.
• 5+ years of report development and data visualization experience with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• At least 1 year of experience using agentic workflows, including Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf.
• Advanced SQL skills and the ability to work in a hybrid role based in Chicago.

Nice to have

• Experience with classification, predictive modeling, optimization models, or forecasting.
• Python experience in data engineering or advanced data analysis.
• Healthcare domain knowledge and experience.
• Expertise in database and data modeling, query performance tuning, and knowledge sharing.
