What you will do
- Operate assigned CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment according to standard work and process control instructions.
- Produce high-quality knife components while meeting production, quality, and performance requirements.
- Perform in-process inspections, complete manufacturing execution system entries, and document quality checks.
- Carry out basic preventive maintenance and report equipment issues or abnormalities.
- Follow safety and PPE requirements while maintaining a clean, organized production area.
- Participate in training, cross-training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and effective time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and standard work instructions.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Work safely around automated and manual machinery, dust, noise, oils, coolants, abrasives, adhesives, and temperature fluctuations.
Nice to have
- Certificate in Manufacturing Technology or a similar program.
- Familiarity with Haas, Fanuc, and Berger control systems.
- Experience with precision inspection tools, Cartesian coordinates, G-code, and fixture setup or verification.
- Basic understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
