Machinist Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; on-site manufacturing environment

Anticipated hiring range: $27.68 per hour

What you will do

• Perform machining operations on parts and materials using manual and computer-assisted equipment.
• Operate, set up, adjust, and change over machining equipment, including basic program edits when applicable.
• Read blueprints, process sheets, work instructions, and material movement documents to prepare and execute assigned jobs.
• Conduct in-process inspections, record production and quality data, and respond to out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Coordinate materials, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain documentation for traceability and continuous improvement.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized 5S work area.

Requirements

• Experience operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
• Basic understanding of quality inspection methods and measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, perform repetitive tasks, and move materials within safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in an environment with noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

Nice to have

• CNC setup and changeover experience.
• Experience editing programs or offsets.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and continuous improvement practices.
