Project Scientist - CSST or CAC

Location: Los Angeles, Irvine, San Diego, or Orange County, California; travel to client and project sites is required.

Salary: USD $71,000–$128,772.80 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

• Coordinate and execute regulated materials surveys covering asbestos, lead, mold, indoor air quality, PCBs, and universal wastes.
• Manage regulated materials abatement oversight and air monitoring services.
• Develop sampling strategies and measure airborne dust, gas, and mist concentrations to evaluate employee exposure and control effectiveness.
• Perform moisture, microbial, and indoor air quality assessments and prepare remediation work plans.
• Travel to client sites and support fieldwork across varied industrial operations.
• Collaborate with client account managers and account teams to meet project requirements and identify additional service needs.

Requirements

• 2–10+ years of experience in regulated materials, indoor air quality assessments, or other industrial hygiene activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Experience with environmental services, asbestos, lead, PCBs, mold, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, safety, and hazardous materials consulting in California.
• Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) or Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to pass background, drug, physical, and motor vehicle checks.
• Ability to travel to project sites and work on roofs, in crawl spaces and attics, and on six-foot ladders is required.

Nice to have

• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
