Principal Epidemiologist (Environmental Health)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States

Salary: USD $175,011–$210,000 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Critically evaluate scientific papers and reports in environmental sciences, industrial hygiene, toxicology, epidemiology, and occupational medicine.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative exposure and risk assessments for chemicals.
• Serve as a testifying expert in toxic tort litigation and evaluate legal documents, depositions, and trial testimony.
• Lead technical work products, presentations, and proposals.
• Interact with clients in person and electronically while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Conduct research for scientific conferences and peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

• Practical experience applying risk assessment methods.
• DABT certification or at least five years of epidemiology experience.
• Peer-reviewed publications related to toxicology, pharmacology, epidemiology, or environmental science.
• MS or doctoral degree in toxicology, pharmacology, epidemiology, or a related field, with coursework in risk assessment, exposure assessment, industrial hygiene, toxicology, epidemiology, environmental engineering, and biostatistics.
• Excellent technical and lay writing, verbal communication, self-motivation, attention to detail, adaptability, and time management.
• Current and future U.S. work authorization is required.
