ABAP Developers (Mid-Level) (S/4HANA SAP)

Location: Remote in the United States, supporting a Washington, DC-based customer. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance are required.

Salary: $96,400–$160,600 USD annually.

What you will do

• Participate in all stages of an SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementation, from design through deployment.
• Translate user requirements into technical design specifications and develop aligned ABAP solutions.
• Develop and integrate SAP and non-SAP backend applications using web services, proxies, APIs, and related technologies.
• Debug and tune ABAP programs for performance and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews and potentially lead or mentor other developers.
• Explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and provide clear recommendations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of SAP ABAP development and overall SAP experience for the mid-level role.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, ABAP development, and HANA CDS Views.
• Hands-on experience integrating backend SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Implementation experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Proficiency with web services, proxies, and APIs for system integration.
• Experience with ABAP Reports, RFCs, Forms, Object-Oriented ABAP, BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, BDC, LSMW, IDocs, ALE, and Workflows.
• Strong debugging and ABAP performance-tuning skills; ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• U.S. citizenship, successful completion of a background check, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance are required. Ability to self-learn new UI technologies with minimal direction and supervision is also required.

Nice to have

• Experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Certifications in Application Development, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies.
