TL;DR
ABAP Developers (Mid-Level) (5515) (SAP S/4HANA): Developing ABAP solutions for a greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation supporting a government customer with an accent on system integration, HANA CDS Views, and technical design specifications. Focus on building maintainable ABAP applications, integrating SAP and non-SAP systems through APIs and web services, and debugging and tuning performance.
Location: Remote within the United States, supporting a Washington, DC-based customer. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance are required.
Salary: $96,400–$160,600 USD annually.

What you will do
- Develop SAP ABAP solutions for a greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation.
- Translate user requirements into technical design specifications.
- Integrate backend SAP and non-SAP applications using APIs, web services, proxies, and related technologies.
- Debug and tune ABAP programs for reliability and performance.
- Conduct code reviews, promote maintainable development practices, and potentially mentor other developers.
- Analyze technical problems and provide clear recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of SAP ABAP development and overall SAP experience for the mid-level role.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, HANA CDS Views, SAP Fiori, and SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Experience with ABAP Reports, RFCs, Forms, Object-Oriented ABAP, BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and data conversions including BDC, LSMW, IDocs, ALE, and Workflows.
- Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP applications through web services, proxies, and APIs.
- U.S. citizenship, a background check, and the ability to obtain and maintain DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, debugging, performance-tuning, and self-learning skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model.
- Certifications in application development, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies.
