SAP Backend Developer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and support custom SAP enhancements, integrations, and reports.
• Analyze requirements, create technical designs, write ABAP code, and provide post-go-live support.
• Develop using core ABAP, ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDPs, OData, and HANA-optimized ABAP.
• Build integrations with IDoc, RFC, BAPI, and web services, including Fiori application integrations.
• Apply clean-core principles and enhancement frameworks such as BADIs and user exits.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders on enterprise SAP projects.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional ABAP development experience, including significant S/4HANA experience.
• Strong expertise in ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDPs, HANA-optimized ABAP, OData, and Fiori integration.
• Experience with SAP module data structures, performance tuning tools, HANA diagnostics, Solution Manager, ChaRM, and transport management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with S/4HANA system conversions or greenfield implementations.
• Exposure to SAP BTP, ABAP RAP, or Steampunk.
• Hands-on Fiori/UI5 development experience.
• Familiarity with SAP CPI or Integration Suite.
• SAP-certified ABAP developer credentials.
