What you will do

• Perform routine high-complexity molecular testing and clinical assays according to validated SOPs and CAP, CLIA, and NY requirements.
• Prepare reagents, controls, calibrators, specimens, and laboratory supplies; set up instruments and maintain stock levels.
• Document testing activities and results in LIMS and laboratory records.
• Perform quality control checks, monitor assay performance, and initiate corrective actions for failures or nonconformances.
• Troubleshoot assay and instrument issues under supervision, complete routine maintenance and calibration, and escalate non-routine results or operational concerns.
• Follow laboratory safety, contamination-control, biohazard, and 5S standards while supporting training and proficiency testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related life science field.
• 0–1 year of relevant laboratory experience.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and testing workflows.
• Ability to work on-site in Houston, Texas, USA and handle occasional exposure to bloodborne or airborne pathogens and infectious materials.

Nice to have

• Prior clinical laboratory experience.
• MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) certification.
