TL;DR
IT & Infrastructure Lead (Linux/Unix and AI Infrastructure): Owning the company’s IT systems, endpoint security, networking, colocation servers, and compute infrastructure with an accent on scalable operations, reliability, and automation. Focus on provisioning Linux/Unix environments, planning high-performance compute capacity, and establishing the standards for a growing startup’s first dedicated IT function.
Location: On-site in Santa Clara, California, United States; relocation assistance is available to one of the office hubs.

What you will do
- Administer and provision the core SaaS software stack, including accounts, access, and licensing.
- Lead employee onboarding and offboarding, including hardware provisioning and lifecycle access management.
- Own endpoint security, device management, networking, VPN, and zero-trust infrastructure.
- Provide day-to-day IT support while maintaining internal documentation and operating standards.
- Manage the colocation server environment, including provisioning, maintenance, monitoring, and uptime.
- Scale compute capacity through forecasting, capacity additions, reliability improvements, and infrastructure automation.
Requirements
- Experience across IT operations and infrastructure or systems administration.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration and networking fundamentals.
- Experience administering SaaS applications, identity and access management, endpoint security, and EDA tools.
- Ability to independently own and develop the IT and infrastructure function.
- Strong communication skills for supporting technical and non-technical colleagues.
Nice to have
- Experience as an early IT or infrastructure hire at a startup.
- Familiarity with colocation or data-center environments and compute capacity planning.
- Scripting and automation experience with Bash, Python, or similar tools.
- Exposure to high-performance computing or GPU/accelerator infrastructure.
