AI Enablement Engineer

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States; work arrangements may include a mix of in-office and remote work depending on role and business needs.

Base salary: $105,593.46–$142,861.74 USD per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Evaluate and apply AI tools that improve productivity across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineering.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom AI agents and lightweight automation tools for engineering activities.
• Identify recurring engineering problems and translate them into repeatable AI-enabled solutions integrated into existing workflows.
• Partner with engineering teams to pilot AI solutions, gather feedback, and refine practical implementations.
• Develop responsible AI best practices and support engineer training and enablement.
• Work with IT and Security to meet data security, intellectual property protection, and governance requirements while tracking productivity metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of modern AI tools and their application to technical and engineering tasks.
• Experience improving engineering tools, processes, or development efficiency.
• Strong understanding of engineering workflows and deliverables, with strong problem-solving skills across disciplines.
• Experience developing automation, scripts, internal tools, or AI-enabled agents for engineering workflows is advantageous.
• Familiarity with CAD/ECAD tools, software development environments, FEA/simulation, or PLM systems is advantageous.
