Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Marina del Rey, California — 2 days in the office and 3 days remote

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, run, and operate microservices in Kubernetes and cloud-scalable environments.
• Build systems for scale, reliability, high availability, observability, alerting, and incident response.
• Use AI tools for coding and research and help improve AI-assisted development practices.
• Translate requirements into technical designs with product, ML, and infrastructure teams.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, design reviews, and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and communicate technical direction to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, running, and operating microservices in Kubernetes and cloud environments.
• Proficiency with AI tools for daily coding and research, such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, API design, data structures, algorithms, software design, testing, and code review practices.
• Self-directed problem-solving, strong collaboration, and clear verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, MCP, agent-gateway, and agentic infrastructure.
