Senior Electrical Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design and validate electrical circuits, PCBs, and interconnect systems for autonomous robotic platforms.
• Develop schematics and select components to meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements.
• Perform hardware bring-up, validation, and characterization in partnership with firmware and software teams.
• Troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues through structured root cause analysis.
• Develop and execute test plans to verify electrical subsystem performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams and vendors to support builds and design improvements.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Redwood City, CA (On-site role)
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical system design and testing for robotics or consumer electronics.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers.
• Proficiency in designing, integrating, and debugging embedded systems.
• Experience with major ECAD tools, preferably Altium.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-speed circuits and signal integrity.
• Familiarity with communication interfaces like CAN, SPI, UART, I2C, and USB.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for test automation.
• Experience with Nvidia Jetson platforms and sensor modalities like LiDAR or radar.
• Knowledge of EMC/EMI compliance testing.
