VDC Project Manager (M&P)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or in-office across all U.S. time zones; office location listed in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The role may vary by candidate location and project needs.

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses.

What you will do

• Manage delivery of BIM/VDC services for mechanical and plumbing trade contractor clients.
• Take ownership of 2–3 active projects, tracking milestones, deliverables, review cycles, deadlines, and scope commitments.
• Coordinate regular check-ins and workflow reviews between clients and internal VDC Managers.
• Manage scope, change requests, timelines, and communication across technical teams, clients, general contractors, design teams, and other trades.
• Contribute to company OKR initiatives involving process improvement, knowledge sharing, or client delivery practices.
• Identify project management tools and workflow improvements that increase visibility and reduce manual tracking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with mechanical and plumbing trade contractors or general contractors in VDC, construction technology, or a related role.
• Strong project management skills covering processes, tools, systems, workflows, and schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with frequent communication and coordination.

• Experience managing BIM and VDC across the project lifecycle, including operations and facilities management.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
• Experience working with or managing remote teams.
