Criminal Defense Paralegal - 1488 - Colombia

Location: Colombia; fully remote. Working hours: 9 am–5 pm EST. Preferred location: Latin America.

Salary: $1,200–$1,600 per month.

What you will do

• Prepare background legal materials, draft basic legal documents, and compile case files.
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, court appearances, and related schedules with opposing counsel, judicial officers, and court staff.
• Track court dockets, filing deadlines, and procedural requirements.
• Organize, review, and redact legal documents and evidence for upcoming proceedings.
• Maintain accurate case management records, client files, and calendar systems.
• Communicate with internal legal teams and court personnel.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably supporting US criminal law.
• US law firm experience is required; criminal law experience is preferred.
• Experience with court scheduling, deposition coordination, and docket management.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Deep understanding of US legal procedures, terminology, and court rules.
• Experience with Filevine, Clio, or similar legal case management systems.
