Paralegal - Virtual (Immigration Law)

Location: Remote from Colombia; Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM EST

What you will do

• Manage immigration matters across VAWA, T-Visa, U-Visa, I-589, EOIR 42-B, and Consular Processing cases.
• Prepare and review petitions, legal forms, correspondence, court filings, evidence, affidavits, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct legal and factual research, review FBI, state police, and FOIA records, and develop case strategies for attorney review.
• Monitor deadlines and filing requirements to maintain compliance with court rules, USCIS regulations, and firm policies.
• Communicate with clients, gather documentation, provide status updates, and prepare clients for individual hearings under attorney supervision.
• Identify process improvements, develop workflows and training materials, and coordinate with attorneys and operations teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 3–6+ years of relevant paralegal or legal support experience managing complex case workflows and escalations.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal or operations tools such as Dropbox, SharePoint, and CRM systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work remotely from Colombia during 9:00 AM–6:00 PM EST.
