Knitwear Buyer - Womenswear (Fashion): Planning and executing knitwear product development and purchasing strategies for COS womenswear with an accent on assortment balance, profitability, sustainability, and customer needs. Focus on building range plans, coordinating cross-functional product development, guiding junior buyers, and securing commercially sound products and on-time delivery.
Location: Head Office in London, UK; onsite 5 days per week

What you will do
- Plan and execute knitwear product development from start to finish with the Buying team.
- Develop efficient component, product, and sample-handling strategies focused on profitability, sustainability, and customer needs.
- Build balanced range plans and analyse product, pricing, and profitability strategies with the Assortment Planner and Senior Buyer.
- Drive timelines and the omni-channel strategy while securing the right products at the right time for current fashion and customer demand.
- Monitor sales, customer insights, market conditions, and new opportunities to adjust the assortment.
- Guide Assistant and Junior Buyers and collaborate with Design, Pattern, Material, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure strong samples and on-time delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Womenswear Buyer with essential expertise in knitwear.
- Product development experience working with an in-house design team.
- Strong knowledge of trends, styles, patterns, silhouettes, fabrics, colours, and the global fashion industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire, influence, and present confidently.
- Pragmatic, outcome-oriented, data-informed, highly organised, and able to reprioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work onsite at the London Head Office 5 days per week.
