Manufacturing Chemical Engineer

What you will do

• Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams to support and optimize copper bonding, plating, and wireline processes.
• Build, monitor, and continuously improve surface preparation, electroplating, heat treatment, straightening, and wireline operations.
• Diagnose process and equipment problems and provide hands-on technical support to daily production.
• Analyze process data to improve yield, reduce scrap, optimize raw material and chemical consumption, and minimize waste.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement projects using Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash priorities.
• Apply root cause analysis and statistical methods to control process variability and maintain ASTM/UL product standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with engineering and business tools including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Excel.
• Ability to work onsite in Aberdeen, North Carolina.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.
