Quality Control Technician (Laboratory Automation)

Location: Brisbane, Australia; primarily on-site according to the physical inspection and manufacturing requirements of the role.

What you will do

• Perform incoming and outgoing product inspections against quality and engineering standards.
• Resolve manufacturing quality issues and manage the disposition of non-conformances with the Quality Manager.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding non-conformance issues and review customer defect claims.
• Conduct internal audits and maintain production and quality-system documentation.
• Champion quality-control processes across laboratory automation manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of demonstrable experience in a similar quality role.
• Engineering trade background or strong production experience.
• Experience with metal machining, sheet-metal forming, metal casting, plastic moulding, and forming processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T, metrology, measuring equipment, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of quality-management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or TS 16949.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking, and individual and team-working skills; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with cable manufacturing, PCBs, and electronics.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous process improvement.
• Experience using Oracle Cloud or Agile PLM.
