Snr Manager, Quality (Quality Assurance): Leading quality systems, governance, audits, inspections, testing, and continuous improvement across multiple disciplines and operational areas with an accent on technical authority, compliance, and delivery performance. Focus on analysing quality data, addressing systemic risks through corrective and preventative actions, and developing quality managers and technical specialists.
Location: Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide, Australia. Permanent full-time opportunity. An active Baseline Defence Security Clearance or higher is required and must be maintained.

What you will do
- Provide senior functional leadership across quality disciplines, teams, and operational areas.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems, processes, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Act as technical authority for quality assurance, audits, inspections, testing, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Oversee assurance activities covering products, materials, processes, safety, and compliance.
- Analyse quality performance data, identify systemic risks, and lead corrective and preventative actions.
- Build Quality function capability through coaching, mentoring, and manager development.
Requirements
- Undergraduate qualification in Quality, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Typically 12+ years of Quality Management experience, including leadership of managers or senior technical professionals.
- Experience leading multiple quality disciplines, teams, or functional areas in a complex organisation.
- Technical expertise in quality management systems, audits, inspections, testing, and quality improvement.
- Experience applying quality frameworks to contractual, regulatory, compliance, and product performance requirements.
- Strong strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, influencing, and problem-solving capabilities. Active Baseline Defence Security Clearance is mandatory.
Nice to have
- Postgraduate qualification in Quality, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt accreditation.
- Experience in complex, multi-product, matrixed, highly regulated, global, or enterprise-wide environments.
