Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense Litigation

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually

Work with a well-established litigation practice handling a diverse range of insurance defense matters.

What you will do

• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.
• Manage cases from intake through trial or resolution.
• Participate in negotiations, court appearances, and SIU-related investigations as needed.
• Support senior attorneys with trial preparation, witness preparation, and evidentiary organization.
• Handle administrative and litigation support tasks.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar or eligibility for admission is required.
• 3–5 years of civil litigation experience required.
• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a litigation team.

Nice to have

• Insurance defense litigation experience.
• Experience with automobile liability, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, premises liability, PIP, bad faith, or SIU matters.
