Insurance Payment Posting Specialist (Medical Billing)

Location: Permanent work from home; scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time.

hirify.global provides an independent-contractor role supporting a client’s medical billing and revenue cycle operations.

What you will do

• Post insurance payments from Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) and paper Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) into eClinicalWorks.
• Apply contractual adjustments, payer discounts, denials, deductibles, coinsurance, and other insurance-related transactions according to payer guidelines.
• Verify payment amounts and balance and reconcile daily ERA and paper check posting batches.
• Research and resolve discrepancies, underpayments, overpayments, zero-pay remittances, and unapplied insurance payments.
• Communicate posting errors and discrepancies to billing, accounts receivable, and denial management staff.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in insurance payment posting or a similar role.
• At least 2 years of experience handling US healthcare clients and medical billing processes.
• Direct experience using eClinicalWorks for medical billing, payment posting, and account reconciliation.
• Professional English communication skills are required.
• Experience with medical billing protocols and payment structures, precise numeric entry, and accurate patient balance maintenance.
• Professional phone manner and the ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume environments.
