Senior Consultant (Healthcare Operations)

What you will do

• Advise Tria and VA/VHA stakeholders on Veteran Community Care priorities, work plans, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead complex workstreams across referrals and authorizations, care coordination, provider networks, claims and payments, clinical integration, and implementation readiness.
• Manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, action items, status reporting, and escalation.
• Conduct current-state and future-state assessments, process mapping, requirements analysis, root-cause analysis, and performance improvement.
• Produce executive briefings, governance materials, standard operating procedures, playbooks, dashboards, decision papers, and contract deliverables.
• Facilitate stakeholder sessions and mentor consultants while supporting resource planning, quality management, client relationships, and growth activities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of consulting, program or project management, or healthcare operations experience, including leadership of complex workstreams in a federal or highly regulated environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations such as referrals and authorizations, care coordination, provider network operations, claims and payment, utilization management, or clinical integration.
• Experience developing work plans, managing milestones and dependencies, handling risks and issues, and producing contract deliverables.
• Strong executive communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical, and writing skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting VA, VHA, the Office of Integrated Veteran Care, the Veteran Community Care Program, Community Care Network operations, or another federal health program.
• Familiarity with HSRM, EHR/Oracle Health, Power BI, Power Platform, and related healthcare referral, authorization, care coordination, and reporting tools.
• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci, CSM, or comparable certification.
• Master’s degree in a related healthcare, public health, business, or informatics field.
• Experience with change management, training, communications, executive governance, implementation readiness, or payer/provider operations.
