Procurement Manager, Packaging (Manufacturing)

Location: Ohio, United States; field-based with domestic and international travel as required

Salary: $125,000–$147,100 per year, plus eligibility for corporate bonus programs.

What you will do

• Create and implement procurement strategies for flexible packaging materials, covering market trends, supply assurance, quality, sustainability, and financial and supply risk mitigation.
• Manage relationships with manufacturing facilities, contract manufacturers, and packaging suppliers.
• Develop cost-saving initiatives, financial forecasts, disruption maps, and mitigation strategies.
• Negotiate and execute supplier contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Lead supplier selection, capability evaluation, development, and sustainability compliance activities.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Quality, and other departments to develop innovative products across company brands.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Packaging, Procurement, Accounting/Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing.
• Ability to coordinate material requirements across multiple plants and contract manufacturing facilities while sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to work effectively in a regulated industry and understand both R&D technical language and business language.
• Strong computer skills, including SAP, SAP/PLM, and Microsoft Office.
• Responsibility for developing and growing one remote direct report.
