Senior Security and Emergency Mgmt Consultant

Location: Hybrid, based onsite in Boston 3–4 days per week; travel throughout the United States estimated at 10–20% of the year.

Salary: USD 118,955.20–203,985.60 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

• Conduct security assessments and develop comprehensive security plans, policies, and procedures.
• Analyze human-induced threats and natural hazards and prepare reports, technical memoranda, presentations, and other deliverables.
• Develop, update, and implement multi-hazard emergency management and response plans.
• Develop and deliver security and emergency response training at client locations.
• Coordinate planning and operational meetings with government agencies, law enforcement, regulators, public officials, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
• Support emergency operations center activities during large-scale events and incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in security, emergency management, systems engineering, international relations, homeland security, or a related field.
• 15 or more years of relevant experience in security and emergency management.
• Strong technical writing, collaboration, prioritization, and client relationship skills.
• Familiarity with electronic security and emergency management technologies, including video, access control, and mass notification systems.
• US citizenship, a current driver’s license, and the ability to travel by air, bus, train, and other transportation are required.
• Ability to pass detailed background checks, including criminal history screening, and drug screening.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or bi- or multi-lingual skills.
• CPP, PSP, CEM, CEDP, HSEEP, CPTED, PMP, or related certifications.
• Knowledge of ISC and FEMA assessment methodologies and security requirements for critical infrastructure sectors.
