Medical Assistant (Primary Care)

Location: Manchester, NH, United States; Monday–Friday, 0800–1900, with flexible 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts

What you will do

• Prepare patient charts and ensure diagnostic results, reports, summaries, and consultations are available to providers.
• Room patients by documenting complaints, allergies, vital signs, medications, tobacco history, LMP, and health maintenance information.
• Perform measurements, hearing and vision testing, respiratory and ECG testing, and condition-specific screenings.
• Collect and process specimens, perform point-of-care testing, and conduct venipuncture when needed.
• Administer medications and immunizations, process prescription refills, and handle prior authorizations.
• Maintain clinical supplies and medication sample areas according to storage, labeling, and stock-level requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant training, an accredited MA program or externship, relevant healthcare training and experience, or prior Medical Assistant experience.
• MA I: at least 1 year of relevant healthcare experience; ambulatory care experience is preferred.
• MA II: at least 3 years of Medical Assistant experience; CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required.
• BLS authorization must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintained throughout employment.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification is preferred for MA I.
