Optical Manufacturing Technician

What you will do

• Fabricate high-precision optical components using CNC milling, grinding, and polishing equipment.
• Operate deposition chambers to coat optics and perform precise alignment and assembly.
• Monitor processing equipment and visually inspect delicate components for defects.
• Maintain cleanroom standards, including 5S organization and equipment upkeep.
• Collaborate with engineering and management teams to improve operational efficiency and safety.
• Document process data and assist in training team members.

Requirements

• Must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing full protective gear.
• Must be able to work a night shift schedule (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Wed-Sat rotation).
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a vocational trade preferred.
• Ability to interpret mathematical and geometrical data and use measuring devices like calipers or interferometers.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work around lasers, chemicals, and high-noise environments.
