Water / Wastewater Project Manager

Location: Charleston or Greenville, South Carolina, United States; local candidates preferred. Regional and national travel is expected.

What you will do

• Manage water treatment and wastewater treatment projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction.
• Lead multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate sub-consultants and utility client staff.
• Use hirify.global business systems and project management tools to execute projects.
• Support client development and the growth of utility planning, asset management, and water/wastewater facility design services.
• Build technical expertise and design capacity by recruiting, developing, training, and mentoring junior staff.
• Participate in technical service leadership and travel regionally or nationally as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 7 years of related experience, including a minimum of 2 years in project management; the preferred profile includes 10 years of progressive experience.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the position location, such as a PE or P.Eng. license.
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to an employee-owned culture.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Experience leading water or wastewater treatment design teams.
