Director, Strategy & Development – Digital Assets

Location: New York City, with a hybrid work model. Candidates must independently be eligible to work in the United States for any employer. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $209,000–$278,000 USD per year for New York, NY and San Francisco, CA. A $154,000–$232,000 USD annual range applies to Phoenix, AZ, Chicago, IL, and remote positions.

What you will do

• Define and advance the digital asset ecosystem strategy for a scalable stablecoin-enabled network.
• Develop participation frameworks, economic design principles, governance concepts, and institutional operating models.
• Create multi-year roadmaps for market entry, ecosystem expansion, and competitive positioning.
• Translate regulatory, market, and competitive dynamics into ecosystem, partnership, and commercialization strategies.
• Guide partnership and commercialization leaders on network design and sequencing.
• Prepare executive-ready strategy narratives, market assessments, decision memos, business cases, and board-level presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Typically 12+ years of experience in strategy, corporate strategy, ecosystem strategy, partnerships strategy, fintech, or financial services.
• Experience building strategy frameworks, market-entry roadmaps, and operating or participation models for new products, platforms, or business lines.
• Ability to translate strategy into execution plans covering operating requirements, stakeholder alignment, sequencing, and commercialization.
• Ability to collaborate with product, engineering, legal, compliance, risk, finance, commercialization, and partnership teams.
• Strong executive communication and cross-functional influence skills.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Experience creating new businesses in an innovation lab, venture studio, major bank, or regulated digital asset platform.
• Experience with stablecoins, tokenization, blockchain ecosystems, network effects, or platform participation frameworks.
• Payments, banking, risk insights, digital identity, fintech, financial valuation, quantitative analysis, Excel, accounting, and operational metrics experience.
• Strategy consulting experience combined with hands-on operating or digital asset experience.
