Senior Commercial Operations Analyst (Energy)

Location: Houston, United States; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the Downtown Houston office

What you will do

• Own and support pricing for products and customer contracts across residential and commercial energy.
• Build automated models, commercial reports, and ad hoc analyses for internal stakeholders.
• Support day-to-day commercial operations and help structure new deals and product changes.
• Collaborate with commercial, sales, finance, operations, and technology teams.
• Improve processes, tools, and reporting by replacing manual workarounds with reliable solutions.
• Independently lead projects and respond to changing commercial challenges with light supervision.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills, confidence working with data, and the ability to explain numbers clearly.
• Working knowledge of Python or SQL, with the ability to create and dissect maintainable scripts or models.
• Ability to simplify messy, ambiguous problems into reliable processes.
• Curiosity about modern tools and AI, combined with rigorous validation of results.
• Autonomous, self-starting approach and willingness to contribute across a lean commercial team.

Nice to have

• Experience in pricing, commercial analysis, finance, operations, consulting, or another data-heavy commercial role.
• Experience in energy, markets, or retail.
• Experience building or streamlining previously manual processes, tools, or reports.
