Energy Analyst (Clean Energy)

Location: Hybrid position in Reston, Virginia, United States; 2 days per week remote.

Salary: $99,216.00–$114,008.00 per year.

What you will do

• Develop analytics, products, and services for clean energy and building decarbonization projects.
• Support energy planning, program design and implementation, energy usage analysis, propensity modeling, and targeting processes.
• Develop energy-saving calculations and economic analyses for residential and commercial sectors.
• Build and maintain project-specific databases using public energy data and manage large datasets for actionable insights.
• Design and continuously improve a Salesforce-based decarbonization tracking and database system, including data uploads, customizations, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare client reports, technical documents, data visualizations, dashboards, and market research on energy-efficiency technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, energy, architecture, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience with energy or environmental data research and analytics.
• At least 2 years of experience with advanced Excel analytics, formula-based analysis, and visualizations.
• At least 2 years of experience administering Salesforce or MS Dynamics CRM systems and managing large datasets with SQL and Excel.
• At least 2 years of experience using government OpenData platforms and analyzing building energy-efficiency data, benchmarked energy use, and deemed savings calculations.
• At least 2 years of experience with Tableau, Power BI, client-ready reports, and data insights for decarbonization technical assistance.
